This week we’re all about art. Books on art have changed through the years to contain colour scans, qr codes and all manner of weird and wonderful layout designs made possibly through advancements in technology, but we still love the old reference guides too! We have a bit of everything ranging from 18th century folio leatherbounds to 21st century paperbacks, so something for any art fan.

We’re fortunate enough to have some really special editions come in from time to time like this 1893 edition of Mrs Beeton’s Every-Day Cookery and House-Keeping. We refer to books like these as our VIBs (Very Important Books) and they have their own wee alcove in the shop.

Did you know we sell more than just books? These wonderful knitted critters have just landed in store and are perfect as a pocket mascot, a gift or any number of uses your mind can conjure up! Each one has been uniquely handcrafted with a lot of love and we’re excited to stock them.

We’ve been getting a lot of love on the @foliosociety rainbow shelving this past week! Folio Society create special editions of much-loved classics and contemporary reads that really help to give character to any collection.

We are open 12-3 every day except Thursdays.

Did you know we carry a large selection of fiction? From hardback to paperback, antique to modern, we have something for every taste. In fact, the collection grew so much we had to carve out a bigger space for it, so you’ll find it taking up the entire island of shelves in our back room.

We have lots of sections here at Stirling Books, but by far one of the favourites is Local History - you can never know too much about your hometown! You’ll find it right in the centre of our Scottish section.
